In childhood age of three making lactase is stop but in population where milk consumption has always been high, such as Europe most adult produce lactase for their whole life they digest milk easily. Only 5%  of the population being lactose intolerant. they show some symptoms of lactase intolerance are gas, bloating, nausea and diarrhea
